The Finance Operations (FinOps) Manager is responsible for ensuring financial accuracy, operational accountability, and strong financial discipline across operational contracts and activities. This role oversees key financial processes including revenue validation, labor cost management, accrual oversight, and contract-level profitability analysis.

The FinOps Manager works closely with operational leaders and finance teams to ensure financial results accurately reflect operational activity and contractual obligations. This position plays a critical role in maintaining accurate financial reporting while supporting operational teams with clear financial visibility.

The ideal candidate brings a strong accounting and FP&A foundation, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work through complex financial data to identify issues, resolve discrepancies, and improve financial processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee financial activities related to operational contracts including revenue recognition, labor cost validation, and expense accruals.
• Ensure financial results align with contractual terms, operational activity, and customer billing structures.
• Provide financial analysis related to labor productivity, operational KPIs, and financial performance.
• Prepare financial reporting and analysis to support operational and finance leadership.
• Manage and develop finance team members supporting financial operations.
• Ensure clear communication and coordination across finance and operational teams.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA or strong accounting background preferred
• 5–7 years of experience in FP&A, Finance Operations, or Controllership roles
• Experience supporting operational or service-based businesses preferred

Technical Skills

• Advanced Excel and financial modeling capabilities
• Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar)
• Experience with reporting platforms such as OneStream, Power BI, or similar tools
